Born and raised in the East Kimberley, she began her healthcare journey as an Aboriginal Health Worker, serving communities across the Kimberley and Pilbara for over 12 years before pursuing
her lifelong dream of becoming a doctor. She now works in remote primary health care with a focus on Aboriginal health, chronic disease management, and aviation medicine.
A passionate advocate for culturally safe care and medical education, Dr Trust is a long-time supervisor and cultural mentor for GP registrars and medical students. She is a strong supporter
of Aboriginal Health Worker Practitioners and has served on numerous community and health
boards. In 2024, she was named WA GP of the Year and currently sits on the Board of the
Australian Indigenous Doctors’ Association, continuing her work to improve Indigenous health
outcomes nationwide.
