To meet this need RANZCOG has partnered with the Australian Indigenous Doctors’ Association (AIDA) to deliver the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health in Clinical Practice workshop.
Cultural safety is everywhere—it shapes every interaction, every consultation, and every clinical decision. AIDA’s Cultural Safety Training: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health in Clinical Practice (ATSIHiCP) is designed for Registrars and Fellows across all specialties, equipping them with the skills to integrate cultural safety into everyday practice and improve health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients.
What sets ATSIHiCP apart? Developed and delivered by Indigenous Doctors, this clinically focused training goes beyond theory—offering practical, real-world applications of cultural safety in healthcare. Participants will deepen their understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history and culture, reflect on how personal values shape clinical interactions, and explore tangible ways to provide culturally safe care.
This high-impact, interactive workshop includes preparatory and follow-up activities and is
accredited for CPD with several specialist medical colleges. Join us in driving equitable and just health outcomes in a healthcare system free of racism.
