Abstracts are invited for Free Communication (Oral), Three Minute Thesis (Oral), Static Poster, and ePoster presentations.
Abstracts are invited for Free Communication (Oral), Three Minute Thesis (Oral), Static Poster and ePoster presentations for the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists 2027 Annual Scientific Meeting, being held at Hotel Chancellor Hobart, Tasmania, from Monday 25 to Wednesday 27 October 2027.
Abstract submissions open Friday 5 March 2027. The deadline for abstract submission is Monday 14 June 2027, 5.00 pm AEST.

Abstract Criteria
Abstracts will be blind reviewed by the 2027 Annual Scientific Meeting review panel and will be scored using criteria such as:
Content: how does the abstract relate to the wider context of the O&G specialty
Abstract Design: is the design appropriate for the aims of the abstract
Scientific Rigour: does the abstract meet and exceed the threshold of scientific rigour
Written Quality: is the abstract well written and understood
Originality: is the abstract original in idea
Delegate Engagement: will it encourage discussion amongst delegates

Free Communications will be allocated 10 minutes to present their research, including 2 minutes for questions.
Abstracts not selected for Free Communication may be eligible for Poster presentation or a Three-Minute Thesis (depending on the type of abstract).
Please note that following acceptance of an abstract for Free Communication Oral presentation, the abstract shall not be presented to any other scientific body before the 2027 Annual Scientific Meeting.
Types of abstracts accepted for Free Communications:
- Original Research
- Complex Audits
$1200 cash prize and medal
Three-Minute Thesis
Three-Minute Thesis will be allocated 3 minutes to present their research, with an additional 2 minutes for questions from a small audience, including judges.
Abstracts not selected for a Three-Minute Thesis may be eligible for a Static Poster or ePoster presentation.
Please note that following acceptance of an abstract for a Three Minute Thesis presentation, the abstract shall not be presented to any other scientific body before the 2027 Annual Scientific Meeting.

$750 cash prize
Static Poster
Static Posters will be available for viewing by all delegates.
Full instructions on the format and display of Posters will be detailed within acceptance notifications sent to the presenting authors.
