Rescheduling FAQs

Q What are the new dates?

A The new dates are Sunday 14th - Wednesday 17th February 2021
with pre-meeting workshops to be held on the Saturday 13 and
Sunday 14 February.

Q Can I cancel my registration and get my money back?

A Should you decide to cancel your attendance you may do so between now and 31 July 2020 and receive a full refund (not including any credit card surcharges incurred). After 31 July 2020 your registration will automatically be transferred to the 2021 event. Cancellations must be received in writing to ranzcog@tphe.com.au. Cancellations received after 31 July 2020 will be subject to the 2021 event terms and conditions.

Q What If I Can’t Attend The
New Dates?

event take place?

A The rescheduled RANZCOG ASM will still be
held at the Hotel Grand Chancellor, Hobart.

Q I Have Already Bought Flights, Can I Be Refunded?

A Please contact the airline you booked with to check their cancellation policy

Q What will happen to my
accommodation booking?

A Any accommodation booking made on the registration portal will be cancelled with no charge or penalty. No charges have been made to your credit card to date. Should you wish to book accommodation for February 2021 and you have already registered, please email ranzcog@tphe.com.au

Q I have submitted an abstract but I cannot present at the new dates. What now?

A If you have submitted an abstract but can no longer attend at the new dates, please notify asm@ranzcog.edu.au in writing to have your abstract withdrawn by 31 July 2020.

Q I have submitted an abstract but I can no longer attend. Can someone else present my abstract on
my behalf?

A Only the person who submitted an abstract can present this work at the ASM as part of the Free Communications or Static Poster presentations. If you would like to withdraw you abstract from consideration, please email asm@ranzcog.edu.au before 31st July.

Q I Want To Attend The ASM But I Can’t Attend The Workshop Or Social Function I Have Registered For. Can I Get A Partial Refund?

A You can receive a refund for the workshop or social event you registered for, but are no longer able to attend, up until 31 July 2020. Cancellations received after 31 July 2020 will be subject to the 2021 event terms and conditions.

Q Will the program remain
the same?

A The overall program will remain the same, however some speakers and topics may change.

Q I can no longer attend the New Fellows & Awards Presentation Ceremony. Can I be presented in the next ASM?

A Any New Fellow who is officially invited to the February 2021 Annual Scientific Meeting may opt to be presented at the ASM following the February 2021 event. Note that, as per RANZCOG Guidelines, if this option is taken the New Fellow will receive complimentary attendance to the Ceremony for themselves and one guest but complimentary ASM registration is unfortunately not transferrable. Any New Fellow who has been officially invited to the February 2021 event must register their attendance by no later than 20 December 2020.
